I had two more interviews today! My first interview was at Bella Cafe with Jennifer Wills Geraedts, owner of Beagle and Wolf Books & Bindery (Beagle Books & Bindery and Sister Wolf Books recently combined and are celebrating their Grand Re-Opening from May 22-25). I had a great time learning about her unique skill of bookbinding and even seeing her bookbinding materials and equipment in the store. We talked about some of the fun bookstore events coming up this season and I even got some summer read recommendations. Afterwards, I headed over to the Good Life Cafe to interview Molly Luther. In 2009, Molly started the Good Life Cafe with her husband and sister. It was interesting to hear about her experience moving from Boston back to her home town of Park Rapids to begin a new business venture. We talked about the upcoming Bite of Park Rapids (happening this July 12), which Molly is coordinating, and the most popular items on the menu. After the interview, I had lunch with my sister, mom, and grandma at the Cafe. By recommendation, I tried the Sweet Basil & Parmesan Chicken Sandwich. It was fabulous! Tomorrow, the first interviews will be up, as well as some photos from Main Street. |
